TOO LITTLE TOO LATE OR TOO MUCH TOO EARLY?

Proof that there is no issue so serious that a simple typo in its reporting cannot reduce otherwise responsible adults to puerile sniggering is yesterday's post by Mark Lazarowicz, MP to www.hearfromyourmp.com.

We quote carefully.

'The clocks changed the weekend before last – and in Parliament in a few weeks time there will be a debate on whether or not the UK cocks should move forward an hour all year round. The proposal is in an MP Private Member's Bill, due to be debated on Friday 3 December. I'm very interested to know what people living in Edinburgh North and Leith think of the idea.'

Spurtle is certainly in favour of such an advance. The sooner all that early-morning nonsense – 99% of the time a triumph of hope over experience – is out of the way the better.
