ISSUE 201 – OUT SOON!

Submitted by Editor on Wed, 30/11/2011 - 09:59

Spurtle Issue 201 will be printed today, ready for distribution through wind, rain and blizzard during the first week of December.

Within it you'll find items on a seasonal abundance of local jobs, hazardous zigzags, and the local origins of a 5-ring circus. We bring you all the latest steps without involving Bruce Forsyth, the merits of darkness, the virtues of transparency, young publishers, mature trees, the rebirth of an old friend, and behind-the-scenes business at an Albany Street institution. There's a message for Hungarians, another message for everyone else, a cat, muffins admission, poem by Stewart Conn and a photo competition involving probably Broughton's most famous international celebrity ever. Bigger even than Brad Pitt, who also gets a mention.

To get your copy, either download it in colour from our home page or pick up a fashionably retro black-and-white paper copy from your nearest library, food retailer, newsagent, pub, club, hair salon, café, gallery, giftshop, bookshop, clothier, sandwich seller or neighbourhood seat lug merchant.

As ever, we depend on readers' input. If you'd like to help write, administer, produce or distribute the Spurtle, just get in touch. We always require extra hands and new ideas.
