LOCALS ASKED TO SET PRIORITIES FOR LEITH

Submitted by Editor on Thu, 27/01/2011 - 16:28

Leith Neighbourhood Partnership (LNP) is at the early stages of drawing up its Local Community Plan for the period 2011–14, and it wants locals to decide what the top five priorities should be.

You are invited to say what you think really matters by completing the survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/H83SJ7G by 25 February.

Alternatively, for paper forms (and further information), contact Loraine Duckworth, Partnership Development Officer, Leith Neighbourhood Partnership: Tel. 529 6194; email: loraine.duckworth@edinburgh.gov.uk.

'Plans need to be realistic and achievable within their three year period if they are to be meaningful to the local community,' says LNP in an Information Sheet issued to residents (see below). 'But, this does not mean that they cannot present challenges. It is for these reasons that clear outcomes are set within the plan.'

Once the information has been gathered, a community discussion will follow at 4:00pm on 24 March. Further details will be announced nearer the time.
