Leith-based Bainbridge Music Ltd have applied for permission to open a rehearsal and music tuition space at 19 Iona Street on the corner with Buchanan Street (Ref. 10/03155/FUL). Replacing offices, the new venture would basically comprise two studios and a recording room at basement and ground-floor levels.

Roxburgh Investments propose converting A-listed 26, 26A and 28 Albany Street into three new flats and altering the basement (Ref. 10/03202/LBC).

Despite attracting no objections or representations and being in accordance with CEC policies within statutory development and non-statutory guidelines, Halcrow's proposal to replace 64 windows at 16 Abercromby Street (Ref. 10/02658/FUL; Breaking news 28.9.10) has been withdrawn. No reason is evident.

Casltemore Securities Ltd are keeping their options open by renewing planning permission for a ground-floor coffee shop in the former GPO building at 2–4 Waterloo Place (Ref. 10/03092/FUL). Permission was orginally granted in September 2005 (Ref. 05/2858/FUL) on condition that cooking, heating and reheating operations were restricted to the use of a toasted sandwich-maker, soup tureen  and mircrowave cooker.
