Flea market

Rummage for treasures at the monthly Out of the Blue Flea Market. Entry free. Over 45 stalls full to bursting with clothes, jewellery, small furniture, music, books, bric-a-brac and so much more. Treat yourself to delicious coffee and cake at the Drill Hall Arts Cafe.

Place exhibition

The free  ‘Place’ exhibitions – Place: Rediscovery, Place: Analysis and Place: Displaced – are three exhibitions created by third-year Edinburgh Napier University photography students. The work questions place as an idea, challenged, altered, demarcated and purely imagined. The photographers conduct detailed analyses of place through geography, history, social structure, religion, physicality and tangibility.

Spring into Nature

Do you want to attract more wildlife into your garden? Try suspending goat viscera from your washing line. Alternatively, attend a free drop-in session for all ages at the Royal Botanic Garden. RSPB experts will offer tips on how to bring butterflies to your borders and birds to your bird table. This activity will also run at the same time and venue on Sunday 9 February.

LGBT roller disco

All welcome for an afternoon of skates, songs and socialising – part of LGBT History Month. Enjoy a unique roller experience with DJ, lights and experienced instructors. This is a FREE, family-friendly event for everybody and there’ll be protective clothing, fabulous retro music to roll or dance around to and plenty to do for all ages, whether you’re skating or not.
