Leith Collective

Leith Collective will open its free school-uniform exchange on Friday, 26 June in Ocean Terminal. 

The idea is to make sure every pupil can start the new academic year in August ‘looking smart and feeling confident’.

Good-quality uniforms, coats, gym kits, shoes, schoolbags and pencil cases are available completely free of charge, no questions asked.

This is the 4th year Leith Collective’s Sara Thomson has run the scheme', she says. 

The Leith Collective launched its Winter Coat Exchange on 1 October.  

Last year, it redistributed over 7,000 free coats to those in need, no questions asked. This year it predicts that, with the energy price cap rising by 10%, even more people will need to use the service. Demand is already outstripping supply.
