Dear Spurtle
I am staying at the Travelodge in a room directly overlooking Malone's. I have asked to be moved – we can barely speak to each other over the noise from this bar. Even with secondary glazing fully closed, it is atrocious. Anyone in a front-facing room in hotels such as the Mercure must have the same problem.
If it was to be till August, why is it still operating on 2 September?
It is tacky and revolting and gives the city a bad name.
